My paintings, weavings and collage pieces all begin intuitively and draw inspiration from a lifelong fascination with pattern, the interplay of colors, and global textiles. I enjoy switching back and forth between my mediums and find the messiness and spontaneity of the way I paint to be a necessary contrast to the technical and painstaking process of weaving. My brain craves both ways of working and it keeps me fully absorbed in my practice.
