Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What began as a love of drawing has grown into an ongoing exploration of people, places, memory, and the expressive possibilities of paint itself. Whether working representationally or abstractly, I create paintings that invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and discover their own responses and connections.
Although I began my career in advertising, the desire to paint never left me. Years later, I returned to the studio and devoted myself fully to developing my artistic voice. Today my work ranges from representational paintings inspired by people and place to increasingly expressive abstract paintings influenced by artists such as Richard Diebenkorn, Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, and Mark Rothko.
I’m a member of the Main Street Arts Gallery in downtown Martinez, where a selection of my work is always on view. I also regularly participate in juried exhibitions throughout Northern California and Arizona, and my paintings can be found in private collections.
