1. I grew up on a farm in rural Central California. I’ve loved drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. I’m mostly self-taught, with comic books being my first instructional texts. No surprise that I drew comics for a couple of years. I’ve since moved on to portraiture of humans and animals. I am currently a member of the Las Juntas-East Bay Artists Guild in Pleasant Hill.

Artist Statement

Please provide a brief description of your creative process, motivations, and inspirations:

I love illustration and representational art. Often I prefer to use b/w media such as pen and ink, pencil and charcoal to challenge myself to produce an image with impact. I prefer portraiture, both human and animal. I am currently a member of the Las Juntas-East Bay Artists Guild in Pleasant Hill
