I do come from an artistic family in picturesque Woodstock area, New York. My father dabbled in photography. My mother was an astrologer, created and painted her own decorative boxes, and made rock runes outlining astrological charts in the local areas of our home. My Uncle is an active artist & portraitist in the NYC and New Jersey area. He continues to be a great help in my own artistic path.
As a child my mother provided lots of art materials for both me and my sister. As with most artists, I have always drawn. I was fortunate to have a well-rounded art program in high school that included jewelry making, photography, advertising, drawing, and painting. Around this time I even dabbled in graffiti.

I find inspiration in everyday occurrences or visions. By visions I mean our eyes and mind are trained to “see” together in a logical way. But sometimes, for reasons I don’t know, I visualize an occurrence, like a shrub looks like a crouching animal or a plastic bag billowing from a tree is a balloon. That is not to say that movies, books, pop culture, art exhibitions, or even my own personal experiences haven’t influenced what I’ve decided to elaborate upon in artistic visual form. I further my craft by reinventing what WAS into a new different form. That stems from my deep desire to reduce packaging waste. I have made many creations from a single-use coffee cup, straws, boxes, and even liquor tops.
