The Golden State

Eugenia Ho created The Golden State in October 2024 as part of the Creative Concord public arts program. The work is a mural that shows California scenes and imagery framed as a collection of postage stamps. The imagery includes a mountain range, a coastal scene with a lighthouse, redwood trees, a marine animal tail in the water, California poppies, two river otters with a sprig of kelp, a California quail, and a cluster of blue flowers.
