“After retiring, I started painting. First, I took drawing classes with Cassandra Antkowiak, and then I took a class with Patsy Taylor to try different media. I settled on oils because of their richness of color and slow drying time.

I love the process of painting and being in a community with other artists who are generous with their expertise and support. I’m grateful to my teachers, Marylynne Nicholson, Nancy Henderson, and Gary Bergren.”
