Artist Statement

Please provide a brief description of your creative process, motivations, and inspirations:

I am a full-time artist working from my studio in Crockett, California, and am actively engaged with the greater San Francisco Bay Area art community. For me, art is both a spiritual practice and a form of healing—an act of prayer and connection. Through painting, I explore the resilience of nature, the empowerment of women, and the presence of ancestral voices. I work primarily in acrylic and mixed media, as well as oil and cold wax medium, layering my materials to reflect the complexity of inner and outer landscapes. My hope is that the process of transformation that happens in the studio extends outward, offering viewers their own space for reflection, strength, and renewal.

  • Gallery 2 - Three tall, narrow mixed-media artworks hang on a white wall above a wooden surface. The artworks have a textured, off-white background with black, abstract patterns. They are adorned with various materials like yarn, small beads, and what looks like hair or fur. Two small, white bust sculptures sit on the wooden surface beneath the artworks.
  • Gallery 3 - A long, white gallery wall is adorned with six tall, narrow paintings featuring abstract red floral shapes on backgrounds of gray, white, and purplish tones. The paintings are hung in a line, creating a single, continuous display. In the foreground, a tall, slender sculpture of a human torso stands on the floor, and to the right, a wooden counter holds several small busts.
