I’m Eboné Brown, an author and watercolor artist. Creativity has always been an important part of my life, whether I’m telling a story through words or interpreting something that has caught my attention through watercolor.

As an author, I have published five fiction and nonfiction titles, available through Barnes & Noble, Amazon and a few indie bookstores in Contra Costa.  I especially enjoy creative writing and exploring the experiences, relationships, and unexpected moments that shape a story. Artist Statement

Please provide a brief description of your creative process, motivations, and inspirations:

Storytelling is at the heart of my creative work, whether I am writing or painting with watercolor. I find inspiration in landscapes, seascapes, nature, travel, people, and the beauty found in everyday moments, and I enjoy observing the world around me and finding my own way to interpret what I see and experience. Even a landscape can tell a story—it can capture a moment, create a feeling, hold a memory, or invite someone to imagine what might be happening beyond the scene. My process often begins with something that catches my attention, whether it is a place I have visited, a photograph, an observation, or simply an idea that I want to explore. With watercolor, I especially enjoy the balance between intention and unpredictability. Whether I am working with words or watercolor, my hope is to create something that encourages people to pause, connect, and perhaps discover a story of their own.
