Pittsburg Events

The City of Pittsburg and Pittsburg Arts & Community Foundation invited local artists to participate in the City’s Utility Box Mural Project – Beyond the Box. The goals of the program are to enhance the beauty and vibrancy of Pittsburg, deter unsightly graffiti on utility boxes, and bring art to unexpected places.

Artist Alana Minei completed her first solo mural, her first project for the community, and her first go at painting on a utility box for Beyond the Box! The concept behind this project was to highlight some of the events that are held in Pittsburg: Jazz, Blues, and Funk Festival, Car Show, Fishing Derby, Seafood and Music Festival, and the Farmers Market.
