Kent Roberts created Surveillance as part of the City of Orinda’s Art in Public Places program. The work is a suspended mixed-media sculpture/installation that depicts a retro-futuristic flying machine. Constructed with a cage-like wooden fuselage, a cylindrical metal body, wing-like fabric panels, and copper-toned spheres. The artwork demostrates a style that merges historical engineering aesthetics with conceptual critique.
