Never Too Old to Recycle

Carter (age 7) created Never Too Old to Recycle in 2021 as part of the City of Concord’s youth art contest.
The work is a vinyl wrap for a Bigbelly trash compactor that shows a dinosaur holding a recycling bin. Carter
designed the artwork with guidance from the City of Concord. The wrap is a digital print on vinyl applied to a
solar-powered trash compactor.

The City of Concord hosted a youth environmental art contest for artists ages 5-18 to decorate downtown
public spaces. Participants submitted sustainability-themed art for the side panels of trash and recycling bins
around Todos Santos Plaza. A panel selected original works to encourage recycling and promote sustainable
practices in the community.
