Precious Moments/Wonder Dogs

The Precious Moments/Wonder Dogs utility box was created by artists Sami Perryman and Janet Brown.

From the Visit Concord website:

Precious Moments by Sami Perryman: “Emerging artist Samineh Hamidi Perryman painted her first acrylic painting for this utility box. Her bold, colorful figures represent not only the musicians and concert attendees, but also the diversity of the city of Concord. Quote: “The inspiration behind my piece, ‘Precious Moments,’ was to bring diversity to my city. As a Persian woman, I think it is crucial to see color and race. ‘Precious Moments’ is a resemblance of who I am and what I believe in. Everything good starts small.”

Wonder Dogs by Janet Brown: “Fine artist Janet Brown’s humorous doggy jazz band should be familiar to those who enjoy her art. Janet frequently paints dogs and she used her canine portrait skills to create a work that captures not only love of music but also love of pets. Quote: “My inspiration for the box art was to celebrate the joy our pets bring to our lives. They can be magical, so why not a dog band? This art is a tribute to a few beloved dogs I have known.”
