The Cannery Lady

Elizabeth MacQueen created The Cannery Lady in 1996. Its creation and restorations were funded by local patrons, city and county bodies, community groups, businesses, and families. The work is a life-size bronze statue, roughly nine feet tall, that is depicted holding a tray of asparagus and tomatoes with empty cans at her feet. The statue underwent restoration in 2008.
